The University of Minnesota distinguishes Departments from Graduate Programs.
The faculty affiliated with the Department of Soil, Water, and Climate
participates in several graduate programs such as Microbial
Ecology, Applied
Plant Sciences, Soil, and Water
Resources.
This Web site describes the Graduate program in Soil. The Soil Program
has two tracks of specialization: Soil and Climate. No reference is made
on the M.S. or Ph.D. diploma of the graduate program. Transcripts mention
the major (Soil Program with emphasis in Soil or Climate), and the minor.
Here is the listing of Graduate Fellowships/Assistantships.

The Ph.D. Degree Program

The M.S. Degree Program
The M.S. degree is offered under both Plan A, involving a thesis
