We recognize that air, water and land are not solely distinct components of the natural environment, but an intimately connected and integrated continuum. Global climate change, water resources management and soil quality enhancement are areas of interest and concern to the Department of Soil, Water and Climate. As such, our research is diverse and includes precision agriculture, biological nitrogen fixation and biogeochemical cycling, as well as remediation of contaminated fields, nutrient management, pesticide transport and transformation in soils, land use planning and policy decisions.
