A cooperative center formed within the Minnesota Agricultural Experiment
Station, Minnesota Extension Service, and the University of Minnesota
to focus on research concerning water quality relating to agricultural
management practices.
The Environmental Resources Spatial Analysis Center
was established in 1995 to develop a unified computing environment
for research on spatial analysis and modeling of natural resources
and environment.
Projects include: interactions of NOM with metals
and xenobiotic organic compounds; the role of NOM in water treatment;
and the role of NOM in plant growth investigations.
Established in 1995, the Precision Agriculture Center
fosters the use of site specific management techniques through collaborative
research, education, and outreach programs.
The WRC helps to coordinate outreach and research within the University,
enabling more effective delivery of research to decision makers
and citizens, and opening new avenues for multi-disciplinary and
interdisciplinary partnerships.
