The Minnesota Climatology Working Group exists to
study and describe the climate of Minnesota. Each of its members
concentrates its efforts on specific topical areas in which climate
plays a significant role.
In Minnesota, Farm*A*Syst, the Farmstead Assessment
System, is a package of worksheets and short bulletins which assists
the farmer in assessing how effectively his or her farmstead practices
protect groundwater which supplies drinking water to the farm
and surrounding areas.
Serving university researchers, government agencies
and other public service groups, the Research Analytical Laboratory
provides inorganic chemical analysis on a wide variety of materials
including soil, water, plant or animal tissue, feeds, foods, compost,
and many other types of materials. We can do all of the work necessary
to prepare your samples for analysis.
The Soil Testing Laboratory at the U of MN provides
soil tests and fertilizer recommendations to farmers, homeowners,
florists, commercial vegetable/fruit growers, sod producers, golf
courses, athletic fields, cemeteries, composters, industrial lawn/
landscape specialists, and agricultural lime producers.
